NEW ECOSYSTEMS

The work explores micro ecosystems in urban and rural environments that are able to evolve because the artificial and the natural contaminate each other. Those ecosystems are self-organized, they exist because of human interventions in the landscape but they thrive without human influence. Some of them show a unique assemblage of species and provide a habitat for insects and other small animals. With this work, I am looking for symbiosis where usually both the human-made structures and the plants are seen as a disturbance.
