The work explores micro ecosystems in urban environments that are able to evolve because the artificial and the natural contaminate each other. I am looking for symbiosis in urban settings where usually both the human-made structures and the plants are seen as a disturbance. With a focus on the ecosystem’s composition of species and the plant’s role in the contemporary urban environment, the installation functions as a herbarium that can be used to re-think the flora we approve in the city.
